“The Learning with ICT Project is a significant strategy in the “Plan for Government Schools 2004 – 2007” and part of the State Government’s overall strategy to improve learning opportunities for children in Government schools across Western Australia. The government has provided funding for appropriate professional learning, curriculum and technology support services and where required the implementation of new or upgraded information and communication technologies” (http://www.e2c.wa.edu.au/100schoolsproject/schoolcommunity/faq_trial.htm#10)

I am one of the Curriculum ICT Coordinators involved with this project.  My responsibilities are defined as:

“The school CICT Coordinator supports the professional learning program in each school. This coordinator has the role of managing implementation of the professional learning strategies designed to build whole school capacity to enrich teaching and learning through ICT. They provide mentoring and coaching support to teaching colleagues as they trial use of ICT in their teaching practice. Where appropriate they support critical reflective learning. The CICT Coordinator is supported by the Professional Learning Team to develop expertise in collaborative learning and the application of ICT in the curriculum. A collaborative learning network was established to provide ongoing support to the CICT Coordinators in their schools. “  (http://www.e2c.wa.edu.au/100schoolsproject/schoolcommunity/faq_trial.htm#2)

I have established this blog to document the journey.
