LWICT at GSC

Atomic Learning Resources have been a great tool to figure out the IWB.  I have realised that one of the pens we received is defective.  That’s  not good.  I will have to send it back.

On the plus side, I used it with a Science Moodle PD and it worked great until the power was shut off at the switch  box.  Science Moodle PD was of limited success due to numerous equipment failures (hardware, software, wireless, power).  On the plus side most people succeeded in adding resources to their Moodle site and were intrigued by the IWB
I also used it with my Year 12 Info Sys class in tracing algorithms.  They think it is great.  One student remarked on how it made learning boring stuff more interesting.  They normally complain about learning theory and practicing theory.  However, they asked to go back and practice more on it.  We did some practical work in the computer labs for the second block.  They seemed to pick up on it much better after really absorbing the theory.
